It's happening again! My brother does something to annoy me, and my parents take HIS side..!!
The thing THIS time is we (as in my brothers and their families and me) were all going to put our heads together to buy a gift for our grandmother, who turns 80 this weekend.
And we agreed on buying some rose bushes and perhaps some wine for her, cus that's all she cares for. We had it all planned. Done!
But no..
my other brother sent me a text, asking how the gift was coming along, and I told him to call my oldest brother. I got a message in return that said "I did. They're buying a gift of their own."
this made me all o_O
after all, we had all made an agreement!
So I called my oldest brother, asking him what was up with that, and he said that he didn't approve of the amount of money we were talking about to buy gift for. My youngest brother and I talked about it, and since we were supposed to be 5 people, we would eventually end up with FAR too many flowers for the old lady, so we figured that if all five of us paid about kr150 - 200,- we would be able to get some decent flowers and perhaps a nice bottle of wine.
My oldest brother didn't approve. "We're(as in him and his fiancée) buying something worth 500,-"
and with that he (or actually THEY) had decided that my other brother and his girlfriend could pay 500,- and then I could pay 300,-
That would be fair, he said. Where he learned how to do math, I don't know.. but to me that's not fair at all. My oldest brother is all "I can't do/pay more than anyone else.." so therefore it was natural for him that I had to pay the most. May I add that I am the one of us with the least money!
And then, when I took the train home today, my oldest brother called and told me that my other brother and I had to come up with a gift of our own, because he didn't care to fuzz about the whole thing, which is ok. I can understand that. It just sucks that he didn't tell me sooner!! We're celebrating the whole thing TOMORROW!
So that made both me and my other brother a little pissed off..
But the worst thing is, my dad sides with my oldest brother - just by hearing HIS side of the story. He hasn't even asked MY version of it. He just assumes that my oldest brother is right!
When in reality, it's my brother and his fiancée that fucked it all up for us. They were supposed to go to some store, find out how much it would cost us to get our grandmother what we had planned, and then they would let us know. They did nothing of such!
And now my dad just went "We can talk about this later, but I agree with him.."
How about asking ME how it's going, or my other brother... not the coward that keeps calling them and ranting about things I do that clearly bothers him.
I can't wait to get away from all of this.. And if my dad tries to give me a long lecture about it tomorrow, I swear I'll blow up and scream my lungs sore again.
Why does it always have to be ME who's the idiot in these sorts of cases??
What the hell did I ever do??
"Maybe you should try to do that instead, maybe you should avoid dressing like that, maybe you should talk in that way, maybe you should wear your hear that way..."
The fuck I will!! Newsflash; I have a personality! I won't change just because it doesn't fit into the image my brother has on how I should be and look.
If anything, he should blame himself for bullying me around when I was a kid. Perhaps one of the encounters with the wall broke something inside me, and made me who I am today..
I don't know..
If he's gonna be a brat - so can I..
